Stressor: A stimulus which is the main reason for stress in living creatures is called stressor.

Why doesn't everyone react to stressors in the same way?

Some people like to fight with stressors and some people don't like to even talk about stressors. There are so many reasons for these differences in reactions. Some of those are:

  • Genetical difference. Genetical difference between people is one of the reasons for differences in reactions to stressors.
  • Cognitive Abilities. Some people know how to deal with stressors. Some people don't know how to deal with stressors. So that different people will give different reactions to stressors.
  • Previous experience. Our reaction to particular stressor depends on our previous experience with that stressor. Different people will have different experiences. So that different reactions exist.
  • Challenging attitude. Different people will have different challenging attitudes. People who have challenging attitudes will fight with stressor otherwise they will show flight response to stressors.

This is why everyone doesn't react to stressors in the same way.
