Data governance is a system that is deployed within the organization pertaining to a particular department whose data will be put under certain rules and regulations that need to be followed in order to make the data governance fruitful. Hence, it is a must to ensure that all the areas of data governance are met to ensure we have efficient data governance in place. If there are missing elements in the data governance that are not met as per the requirements of the data governance then the whole purpose of data governance is diluted and the results may not be as per the required ones. This is why without complete compliance from all the elements of the data governance it is not appropriate to deem a data governance system as a truly efficient and compliant data governance system.

Data governance is a huge system that encompasses many key elements, we discuss some of the important elements of the data governance system,

• Quality of Data:
  These elements can be considered as the sole purpose behind data governance because as an organization we would want to save our data for future use and for the same the quality of the data stored should be top-notch which can be used in future this is why the quality of data is an important element of the data governance.

  Data security is crucial because an organization would not want to risk its data to theft and hence the security of the organizational data is considered to be very much effective thus making it an integral part of data governance.
  
• Data architecture:
  The data architecture is a way in which the data will be stored, accessed, and retrieved for analysis. The architecture that is followed to perform these operations is known as data architecture. Data that is not stored appropriately will be of no use and data architecture plays an important role in structuring the data.

  These are extended elements of the data governance that somehow are related to the data security and hence these elements need to be tackled well to ensure we have an efficient data governance system that is holistically taking care of the regulations that support the data governance.
