Assignment: Please write a few paragraphs on your thoughts on sentencing an indigent, uneducated individual to pay fines and restitution for the crimes that they have committed. Please be sure to include references for any materials that you may use.

A fine is money that a court of law or other authority decides has to be paid as punishment for a crime or other offence. The amount of a fine can be determined case by case, but it is often announced in advance.Each country has different rules and punishment of the offence they have done.

Crimes includes road violation rules, Theft, murder and it could be anything which is against law and nature of any country for a citizen. People who are uneducated and indigent are sometimes became the one who are more indulge in theiving and murder as they are not well educated about the things and basically poverty makes the person helpless so they move to these things which are harmful for everyone.

In my context punishment should be given to them so that they should understand the value of money and people lives. Sometime it shopuld be good if Waiver of Fines for Indigent Defendants are there but it should compiled to only those things which are not against the law.

For example : I was reading an article in US a poor guy was hungry since 2 days and he lives in poverty does not have money to buy food and for the sake of live he steal food and police arrested him but after knowing the actual reason police and court forgives him and provide the food which is a very good move by govt but sometime the scenario is different poor or uneducated people took this thing as loosely and make harmful thimgs which is not gpood for society so there should be strong actions taken so that they will not do this in future again.

Lets take one more example suppose a poor people is driving a car and due to his owner instruction he drove fast and break the rule but here there is no mistake of driver but police will not gonna listen him and below things will be imposed on him.

If a Ticket is Not Paid, Defendants Will Lose Their Drivers’ Licenses and Vehicle Registrations Will Be Revoked.

If Defendants Do Not Pay, the Court Will Issue an Arrest Warrant for the Unpaid Debt.

So the Fines should be taken if he is a poor or uneducated if the offense is actual done without thinking for the sake of anyone lives it just make them responsible for the next time if they do any offense.
