Introduction – Hospitals are one of the recognized institutions in any country as they serve highest on humanity ground, the medical facility and treatment they provide can be stated as hospital care. There can be several reasons why hospital care be categorized but we in this discussion cover the two prominent forms of hospital care which are large hospital care and small hospital care.

Reason for large hospital care capacity –

  • More space can accumulate more functionality – emergencies can happen at any time, consider the current Corona epidemic which needed to have a better infrastructure and machines for checking people all these arrangements and any other arrangements is possible in a relatively large space.
  • Have a wide service offering – this is again a crucial reason in favor of having a large hospital care unit, as we know that the states are divided on the basis of livelihood, by saying this I mean a metro city has a higher wage as compared to any non-metro city and so to a village. Since the metro has the highest population it is better to have a bigger space with full capability to serve people by facilitating them with all the healthcare facilities and equipment. Also we should not forget that there is always a space crunch on metro cities.
  • Has a large storing capacity – as many as 500+ beds can be accumulated in any large size hospital care unit into different departments, this can again be a benefit at the time of emergency.

Reason for small hospital care capacity –

  • They offer convenience to patients in order to access medical services as they bring medical care closer to the community as compared to far major hospital care.
  • Better review – research and changing healthcare facilities show that the smaller healthcare units offer a better and positive impact on their care and satisfaction. This number is growing every day.
  • Most of the small hospital care is specialized in a specific stream that develops trust and focus on a specific disease like outpatient rehabilitation, medical imagining or even aged care centers.
