1b. An ethical behavior with respect to public representations is :
a) describing unique abilities and comparative desirability.
b) citing professional affiliations as endorsements.
c) listing one’s highest degree earned within a practice area.
The right answer for the question 1a) is option c) ie implement fringe treatments without appropriate training only in extreme and unusual circumstances.
Ethical actions or ethics in profession means the honesty ,moral values and sincerity that we show in a work or profession. In the question given above ,the clinicians ethics has neither anything to do with the cultural backgrounds of his or her clients nor does it have anything to do with his own problems ,if mirrored by the client. So the fring treatment ie treatment done by tapping of the fingers on the upper part of body and hand etc .is useful. The treatment without appropriate training is compromised with its use in extreme or unusual cases .
The answer appropriate for the question 1b) is answer b) citing professional affiliations as endorsements. As I think listing one’s highest degree earned within a practice area or even describing unique abilities and comparative desirability is not ethical with respect to public representation.
