#. Nursing process - problem-solving approach that enables the nurse to provide care in an orgainzed, scientific manner.
Role of LPN :-
1. Contributes to an assessment database for atientsby collecting data using a standardarized form, performing basic psychosocial assessment, and taking objective measurements of body functions
2. Assist with the development of nursing care plans and the implementation of the established plan of care.
3. Perform basic therapeutic and preventive nursing measures.
4. Participate in the evaluation of the care given by reporting observed outcomes and making necessary changes according to the results of the evaluation.
#. LPNs NAs may collect patient information such as temperature, height, and weight. However it is the RNs responsibility to assign those tasks, validate the data collected, conduct the interview, and complete the physical assessment.
ANAs code of ethics states "the nurse determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurses obligation to provide optimum patient care"
#. RNs are the only one's who can perform a full NP on a patient, LPNs are allowed to help gather certain info but they're not allowed to make a nursing diagnosis, care plan, and etc

2. Institutes preventative measure to protect client, others, etc.
3. Intervenes on behalf of a client when problems are identified
