What is AN4 pin on BAYSYS 3 board? i know there is AN0-AN3. I cannot locate the pin and function of AN4
Hi,
You are correct there is no AN4 pin BASYS 3 Board.

Seven segment display in BASYS 3 :
The Basys3 board comprises of one seven-segment LED panel with four-digit standard anode.
Each of the four digits is composed of seven segments arranged in a pattern, each segment having an LED embedded.
Segment LEDs may be illuminated individually, and each of the 128 patterns can be shown on a digit by lighting some segments of LEDs and keeping the others dark.
The anodes of the seven LEDs forming each digit are tied together into a single circuit node called a "common anode"
But the LED cathodes remain separate.
Simple anode signals are accessible to the 4-digit monitor as four "digit require" input signals.
In all four displays, the cathodes of identical segments are wired into seven circuit nodes.
Those seven cathode signals are available on the 4-digit display as inputs.
This signal connection scheme creates a multiplexed display where here the cathode signals are common to all digits.
But only the segments of the digit whose anode signal is asserted can be illuminated.
The anode will be powered high to light a section while the cathode is pushed low.
Moreover, since the Basys3 uses transistors to force adequate current into the standard anode position, it reverses the anode enabilities.
