Through our lesson, we learned that tragic events distract people from their normal ethical stance. Why do you think this is the case? Bring forward a tragic event that has happened in your lifetime as an example. For purposes of a diverse discussion here, bring forward different examples.

Tragedy affects everyone differently. Some will lose their normal ethical stance during a tragedy because of fear, overwhelming sense of sadness or because they may feel that can get away from it. When my father past away I lost all sense of ethics when it came to school and family. I did not want to be around family and mainly stay to myself. My grades slacked since I was numb with an overwhelming amount of sadness. In a different instance when tragedy happened was when we were in Florida and got it with hurricane Charlie. During this event we were out of power for two weeks and I felt the need to make sure that everyone in the family was safe and well feed. While others during this same situations were stealing and breaking into stores and walking out with TV sets. I believe they did this because they knew that the power was out and they did not think they were going to get caught on camera or that the alarms would be working.

In our society, we have people from many other countries with many different backgrounds, education, culture, and skills. As such, they can be identified in many different diverse group sets. Diversity is referred to as, “A characteristic of a group or organization whose members differ from one another along one or more important dimensions, such as age, gender, or ethnicity” (Griffin, 2016, p. 244). As businesses hire people to help in the manufacturing of goods or the provision of services,...
