Do a character analysis of Nora Helmer in Ibsen’s A Doll House.
Say something clear and concise about Nora’s personality and then defend it.
HELLO!
NORA HELMERA in the doll house is basically someone who has accepted her for what others see her as only a silly girl till she emerges and accepts her identity and moves on to pursue her freedom which in the process she hadn't known of that she absolutely had none.
Nora's personality looks like any other woman who is neglected and taken granted for just like everyone else who is always so giving and doing things for her family and kind of putting herself on the back burner and not really realising the powerful woman that she can be , however things change when she moves towards her freedom and realization while completely letting go of her husband and children. HOWEVER this she is seen as highly rebellious but I guess sometimes the times you realise you require freedom, the steps are worth taking as this raises a lot of question at her but the truth is she was denied everything she could have through manipulation and the society tends to highlight that she is lesving6her family behind as she is expected to always be in her place and show up and not speak up.
THANKYOU,HOPE THIS HELPS!
