Describe the importance of professional engineering licensure with reference to the benefits one gets, added responsibilities, and the ethical standards of practice that one needs to maintain.
Professional Engineers are the engineers who have the credentials to win the trust to their clients and have to take more responsibilities. To their own, it is a hard work of achievement.
Every Professional Engineers must maintain/ practise ethical standards of NSPE ( National Society of Professional Engineers).
i) Professional Engineers should always maintain honesty and integrity in an organization.
ii) Engineers should always strive for safety of public interest.
iii) Engineers never disclose any confedential things to other person.
iv) Engineers never take any advancement or money from the contractor or other third party to issue their work.
The Professional Engineers have several responsibilities:
i) Only Professional engineers or a licensed engineer may prepare drawings, plan, sign or seal public authority which is submitted for approval.
ii) Engineers should always maintain ethical standards of practise in all of their work.
iii) In municipality or in other govt or central govt organization licensure engineers position is significantly increased along with their higher level of responsibility and work.
Benefits:
i) Professional Engineers who have authorized license, must be suitable for higher post in any govt or central govt agencies, which must increase their salary along with other benefits for his/her livehood and must set their career path and gain more respect.
