As a practitioner or researcher, discuss how will you determine what is ethical and unethical? Additionally, discuss how you will develop your guidelines for ethical practice.

As a practitioner or researcher, I will determine what is ethical by considering: The ACA Code of Ethics (ACA, 2014)

I will develop the guidelines for ethical practice by applying three simple tests:

Justice: In applying the test of justice, I will see whether I would treat others the same in this situation.

Publicity: For the test of publicity, I will ask whether I would want my behavior reported in the press.

Universality: For the test of universality I will ask whether I could recommend the same course of action to another practitioner in the same situation.
