5. We learned person-job fit and person-organization fit. As an employer, which one do you think is more important for your organizational development? Please demonstrate your ideas in a detailed fashion. (10 points)
As an employer for the organization development person should be job fit. as a measure of organization development we can Herzberg two factor theory in which satisfied and delighted employees would increase the worth of organization as they are getting proper treatment of their want and desire. a person should be motivated passionate and qualified for the post and should also understand the organization goals and objectives in correct manner. person with sound mind should understand the role and responsibility associated with jobs and their requirements.
a skilled person would take initiative to increase their participation for growth and development of organization but first of all we should hire the incumbent who understand the organization and their work structure. it is like deductive to inductive approach, hiring a suitable candidate for each job where they can show their performance ultimately increase the organization growth, so we need to have person with job fit not in organization fit. job fit employees can work any department and can learn the new responsibilities of organization and increase his/her learning experience.
person with job fit would be self motivated as organization is fulfilling his desire and appreciating his/her performance. so person with job fit can contribute to job enrichment and ultimately increase the organization and it associated activities.
