Public Participation in the planning of the town in which they are living is very important and should be considered by looking the present scenario where different views are required and the planning needs to be done by various perspectives. People are doing a correct thing as they are demanding the right to participate in the formulation of the solutions regarding their town by which they will not just sit and wait for the solutions to come and would work hard for the betterment of their own town. The process of public participation is being carried out in three steps which are being discussed below :

  • Planning Permission : First of all the permission is to be required from the higher authorities that the people can participate in the planning of the town and would want to give their views regarding the development of the town in which they are residing.
  • Planning Enforcement : This step is carried out when things are not being going on the correct path and the permission for the participation is granted but the work is not processing forward by the other authorities. Here the enforcement should be done by pressurizing the people working in the department by various kinds.
  • Planning Evaluation : The last step in the participation process of planning is the planning evaluation in which it would be discussed that the person who have applied for the participation is better for the post or which type of people they would include in the participation for formulating the solution regarding the planning of the town.

The above steps are to be carried out as if people want heir demand to be fulfilled and that they are permitted to participate in making the decisions regarding the planning and developing of their town.
