How to apply HAZOP in a dishwasher?

How to apply HAZOP in a dishwasher?

Solutions

Expert Solution

1. Design

Assessing Dishwasher design such as capacity, speed or rate of washing, the requirement of soap and water, etc. Also, note the maximum and minimum possible limit of the washer.

Consider Deviations Such as :

a. No / Less / More water flow into the washer

b. No / Less / More addition of liquid soap

c. Speed of washer

2. Physical environment

To assess the type of utensil for the washer and all the above-mentioned parameters to operate the dishwasher and ensure that it is ideal e.g. is there enough space between utensils for the washer to operate as intended.

3. Operational and procedural controls

To assess the engineered controls such as proper power, water, and soap input. The sequence of steps - a. Switch on power >> put utensils >> adjust washing speed according to operational module >> set water and soap in flow rate >> removing cleaned utensils >> switch off.

Listing the problem which will occur by the deviation of the above variable.
