What are the difficulties involved in stopping counterfeiting of drugs? Give brief descriptions of various current measures that are being used/proposed by manufactures to resolve these.

Solutions

Expert Solution

Solution :

Counterfeiters not only copy the trademark, the label design and the trade dress of a well-known branded product, they also copy addresses and pose as licensees.

Measures:

To curb the incidence of counterfeit drugs, the maufacturet need to strengthen their drug regulatory authorities and their powers to enforce drug laws and regulations. The maufacturer should re-work the existing law and ensure that selling spurious drugs is no longer considered a minor offence, now punishable by the state drug controller by suspension or cancellation of license. The manufacturer recommends strict vigilance, with regular surprise checks at pharmacies and for the cause checks (suspicious checks). The report recognizes the lack of infrastructure and personnel to carry out these checks and recommends drastic upgradation and overhaul of the vigilance structure.

What role did American Antisemitism play in refusal of Americans to get involved in stopping the Holocaust? When, in your opinion, should the United States have entered World War II? Do you think there is any merit in the argument that FDR wanted an American foreign policy that would push Japan into attacking the U.S. Did he perhaps do this because he recognized the dangers of Hitler's conquests and was thwarted by the isolationism of the American public.
