• The computer technology allows to create three dimensional virtual environment which consists hardware and software.
• The computer system has evolved in powerful and visually oriented, interactive, graphical display system and techniques.
• Nowadays demand for software performance promote advancements and innovation of hardware technologies.
• For the management of data and analysis system, hardware determine performance limit of data access and query processing.
• The software should optimize design of algorithms and data structure according to hardware.
• The recent data intensive application have high demands on hardware performance of the computer like- energy consumption, cost performance, access latency, bandwidth etc.
• the traditional data management tecchnique is facing different kind of challenges ad these challenges leads in contradiction in existing data processing infrastructure.

Compare and contrast the evolution of the input functions of the computer system and the output functions of the computer system in modern computers --

• Input -- The digital computer system have four fundamental elements -- Input Output equipment, Main memory, Control unit and arithmetic logic unit.The input device is very important because it allows to communicate with computer and add new information
• The input devices are -- keyboard, mouse, joysticks, light pen, graphic tablet, touch screen, micro phone, scanner, MISR, OCR and webcam.
• Input is collection of text, images,numbers, audio and video that is entered in the memory of computer system.
• The input stages can be preparation of source document, data verification, data coding, data sorting and data storage.
• Output -- In output, the data which is prccessed, is displayed on the screen of the monitor as a soft copy. and it can be printed by using printers on hard copy.
• The output devices that conveys video and text graphic information on screen as soft copy.
• The output devices includes -- display screen, printers, synthesizers and plotters.
• And the data that is proccessed can be viewed on display screens like - LCD monitors, CRT monitors, gas plasma monitor and projectors.
