Go to a grocery store. Look at any one of the meat packages. Note down all the information you can collect from the labels.
When you look at the labels on a meat package, you can get a lot of information on the quality of the meat apart from the usual information such as the amount of nutritional value, proteins, fats etc., the date of manufacturing and the date of expiry. Some of them may indicate organic or grass fed in their labels which may mislead consumers to believe that they were not given any antibiotics or hormones, in reality they may just have been fed on a diet of grass instead of grains. It may also mention that the animals were humanely raised such that they were not bred in humiliating conditions and were slaughtered without much pain, but one must ensure the claim has been verified by the authorities. Some labels may explicitly indicate that the animal was given no growth hormones or steroids, especially in case of beef meat. It's also sometimes mentioned that no nitrates or nitrites were added. Every consumer must verify and cross check these claims before purchasing the meat.
