the sds page full form is sodium dodecyl sulphatepolycrylamide gel electrophoresis. it is a variant of polycrylamide gel electrophoresis. it a analytical method for seperation off charged molecules in mixtures by their molecular masses in an elecric field.it uses the sds molecules to help and isolate the protien molecules.

advantages are it used in biochemistry with combination with the protien stain. it is also used in combination with the western blot for the determination of presence of specific protien in mixture of proytiens for analysis of post translational modifications

while western blotting is a technique used in immunogenetics sometimes it is also called as protien immunoblot .in the given technique the synthetic or animal derieved antibodies are creatd that react with a specific target protien .the sample material undergoes protien denaturation followed by gel electrophoresis elisa test can be performed also a technique named southern blotting.
