Most of the developing countries face issues such as child labor, human slavery, sweatshops, bad governance, and environmental degradation and these issues threaten the steady growth of those countries. Although the developed countries exploited and initiated all the above said issues in the developing countries, the present governments and the vast gap between rich and poor. India is one such country where all the above said issues are present. The most important among them are child labor and bad governance.
India has most number of child labors because of poverty and lack of parental education. Children whose parents are poor do not want to spend their money in education as they see it as an expense and not investment for future. If more people work, the family can generate more money thus at least eat thrice. Although, employing child labor is a crime, it still has more child labors because of the corrupt officers. These corrupt officers get money from the industrial owners and allow the crime to continue.
The second important factor is bad governance as the rich has more opportunity and the poor are haunted everywhere. Corrupt officers easily escape with minor penalties. Rich people bribe the government officials and do not pay the tax. Government officials mishandle the fund allocated for social welfare and infrastructure development. Political parties fight with each other and give money for vote with the help of the electoral officers. Police always suppress the poor and play soft on the crimes rich people commit. All these things are not regulated well by the government and most of the public money is stolen by whoever is in power.
