Question text
Antonio was tasked with assembling a new workbench that had just arrived. About an hour into the project, Antonio realized he had assembled some of the pieces upside down, and he needed to start over. The problem is that to disassemble what he has done, some of the parts will be ruined. Antonio went to his supervisor and explained what happened and that some new parts will need to be ordered. The supervisor was not happy with Antonio when he ordered the new parts that costs the company $200. Antonio's lack of __________ cost the company money.
Select one:
a. Knowledge of hand tools.
b. Paying attention to what he was doing.
c. Reading the instructions.
d. Confirming that all of the parts were in the box.
B. Paying attention to what he was doing.
Rationale
As the paragraph suggests how Antonio realized within an hour of a project that something went wrong only suggests the lack of attention to what he was doing. When he realized his mistake and explained to his supervisor how it can be corrected shows us that he has process knowledge and therefore the knowledge of tools.
B. Inform her supervisor about her current situation and her additional responsibilities at home and request that she is allowed to come in later than other employees until her father is well enough to manage himself.
&
C. Jane can discuss how she can make up for the lost productive hours due to her late arrivals.
Rationale
Jane because of her reputation of being a very reliable and dependable employee should speak to her supervisor about the crisis she is currently in. This will help her supervisor to be more empathetic and accommodative to her current plight and grant her exemption. Also, if she discusses how she can make up for lost productive hours will definitely send a positive message across the board of how willing she is to contribute to productivity.
