What is the difference between a personal and an enterprise-level DBMS?
As a manager, how would you be able to contribute to a new DBMS selection process of your company regardless of the department where you work?
Personal DBMS: Personal DBMS is the database management system for managing the personal information for the self or for the self small business or can be for family information. The content of this DBMS is small and it focus for key personal informations only for any individual.
Enterprise Level DBMS: The enterprise level DBMS is the information management system used at the enterprise for capturing, updating and managing all the essential information and data needed for the enterprise based on its routine operations. The Enterprise level DBMS is a generally a large scale DBMS and can store large data for the enterprise for longer time. This DBMS requires special attention in managing the DBMS and special IT specialist are required for routine management of the DBMS software.
Difference between a personal and an enterprise-level DBMS: The difference is stated above. Personal DBMS engaged in managing the personal information for the owner where as the enterprise DBMS manages the information and data for the enterprise level. The data size of personal DBMS is smaller than the Enterprise level.
