What is the importance in macroeconomics of measuring per capita GDP?
Macroeconomics studies the econnomy as whole. It studies the aggregates of an economy. Like total demand, aggregate supply, total employment, total inflation, total expenditure etc. GDP is the macroeconom variable. Macroeconomics helps us to understand the GDP. It is important to note that in many countries the level of GDP is low and it is only through the study of Macroeconomics that we can understand it trends.
