Discuss the difference between deontological ethical theories and consequentialist ethical theories? How would a deontological theorist differ from a consequentialist theorist when considering the moral status of abortion? What would be relevant to each?

In the dilemma of the situation of abortion, the consequentialist will tend to think of the overall happiness that would result in the individual from the action of permitting or banning abortion. If, for example, the prohibition of abortion can lead to the reduction in the instances of anti-social activities reduction in the number of cases of child assaults and the subsequent abuse and neglect, child labor, and other medical consequences such as maternal deaths, in this particular instance the consequentialist will tend to favor the concept of abortion i.e permitting abortion. However, if granting abortion will result in a reduction in the moral value for life as a whole it can lead to other social consequences such as reckless use of sexual gratification activities, in this case, the consequentialist will not favor the idea of permitting abortion.
However, the chain of thoughts that provide reasoning to the deontologist would be to focus on the intention of the individual who seeks an abortion and thus evaluates the rightness or wrongness. Take, for example, if the intentions are wrong like the abortion is being sought for the avoidance of the duties by an individual to his/her offspring or in case of a situation where the value to the human life is not being respected human life, in this case, a deontologist will lead to the disapproval of the abortion.
However, if the intentions are good a deontologist will favor abortion .
