The advocacy program I chose is, Prevent Child Abuse America. This program focuses on preventing child abuse and neglect starts with giving parents the support they need, so they can be the best moms and dads they can be. When parents get support, families are more self-sufficient and kids do better in school. This is accomplished by spreading awarness of child abuse prevention through their Pinwheels for Prevention campaign.

Ans)there are many forms of child maltreatment,including,neglect,physical abuse,sexual abuse,exploitation and emotional abuse.

Risk factors for child abuse and neglect:

Girls at a slightly higher risk

Poverty.

Parent stress,poor parent child relationship.

Younger girls.

Children of large families and children of single parents.

Children whose parents abuse substances.

Children with disabilities are four to ten times more likely to be abused.

Prevention of child abuse is a complex task.a simple step to help prevent this kind of abuse in the future is to immediately forward any and all allegations to the authorities for investigation.this protects both children and institutions while allowing those trained to investigate crimes to do their jobs.

Advocacy principles :for eg : media (child abuse).

Media:press releases;talk radio,news stories and event calendars; editorial board meetings; commitments for pre/post media coverage of children's issues;and live broadcast.

The best ways you can utilise today's modern media in order to sell your organisation and advance your cause.there are two basic types ; traditional media _such as print and broadcast journalism.
