30 years's war is considered as the first modern war by many historians. It started from 1618 and lasted up to 1648. It started from Northern parts of Europe. Violence at major scale took place in this war. Famine was also associated with this war.
Various diseases also got a spread across the continent which affected many lives in Europe. This war started and gain prominence as a religious war. It was mainly between Catholics and Protestant states. It got spread in whole Europe by the end of 1630.
When king of Bohemia tried to impose Catholicism in his entire domain then this fierce war erupted and took whole Europe in it's influence. Treaty of Westphalia was signed at the end of this war. After this war, France emerged as dominant power of Europe.
Germany got destroyed in this war. This war caused destruction of crops at major level. Many German people died in this brutal war. This war also caused huge rise in inflation in European society. People became helpless due to miserable life conditions and spread of various diseases.
