What in your opinion is the best place to locate a firewall by comparing firewall locations on a network by considering that multiple firewalls could be beneficial or an obstacle with references?

The best plave to locate a firewall is at tghe gateway and the router that has been placed between the router and the internet LAN. The applications that works on internet are most prone to cyber crime exzactly for those which has benn blocked by the users at the firewall and such applications are enabled by us only to pass through the firewall. There can be mutilple firewalls is there are more number of internet enabled applications. If the requirement is minimum then firerwall can also be placed on the border of the network. Then the network traffic even is not even passed through the firewall. But when it comes to multiple firewalls cost also increases which may lead to to installation of third party firewalls a which easliy oblitrated by the attackers. So the entry point of the application to the internet traffic is the best place that is between the gateway and the router or at the border of the network where the firewall should be located.
