Ans.In human spinal nerve form various plexus.
spinal nerve plexus is a bundle of fibers from adjacent spinal nerve that formimg network.
There are five plexus which consist of both sensory and motor nerve fibers.
1.cervical plexus :-C1 - C2 - C3 - C4 with contributions from C5.
Situation:- it is situated on each side of the neck alongsidr the first four cervical vertebrae.
Function :- it control the functions of head, neck soulder and chest( diagphragm).
2.brachial plexus :- C5 - C6 - C7 - C8 and T1
Situation :- the brachial plexus extends inferiorly and laterally on either side of the last four cervical vertebrae and first thoracic vertebrae.
It passes superior to the first rib behind the clavicle and then enters the axilla
Functions :-it controls the functions of hand, arm chest and shoulder.
Brachial plexus givers rise to five nerves, viz.musculocutaneous nerve, axillary nerve, radial nerve, median nerve and ulnar nerve.
3.Lumbar plexus :- L1 - L2 - L3 - L4
Situation :- the lumbar pkexus passes obliquely outward posterior to the psoas major muscle and anterior to the quadratus lumborum muscles.
Function :-it controls the functions of abdominal wall, external genitalia and part of lower limb.
4.Sacral plexus :- L4 - L5 and S1 - S2 -S3 - S4
Situation :- It is situated largely anterior to the sacrum.
Function :- it control the function of perineum, lower limbs , hip joint and part of pelvis.
5.Coccygeal plexus :- S4 - S5
Situation :- it is situated pelvic surface of the coccygeas muscle
Function :- control the function of part of pelvis
