Data series:
Need to answer what type of data and use which type of graph
1. The number of years since a person immigrated to Canada. These are individual level data collected as part of the 2006 census and are given for 11,000 people (i.e. there are 11,000 observations).
2. CPI in Canada, 1980 to 2015
3. Employment by major industry sectors across Canada in 2010.
1) since this data is a part of census study and done in a particular point of time in 2006 across 11000 people. so it is a cross section data and to plot the graph for this type of data could be best represented by the column(bar) chart as in this diagram we can plot the number of person immigrated to Canada each year. so we can plot year in the horizontal axis and number of person immigrated in the vertical axis.
2) this data is time series data. CPI could be best represent by the line chart. because CPI is a highly fluctuated data so we can plot this in a line chart efficiently then the other type of chart.
3: as this is a data set for only 2010 and have specific to employment in major industry this is a cross section type data with full observation. this data could be best represented by a pia chart. means we can plot it in percentagewise that in which sector how much percentage of the total employment are employed.
