Task - Review, promote and implement responsible environment practices in day-to-day operations : The overall operations of the hotel should comply with all responsible environment practices and be adopted in the daily workings of the hotel e.g. new environmental law might require changes to current procedures

Task - Implement the practice of continuous improvement in daily activities : To ensure continuous improvement is sought in all aspects of the daily operations to reduce waste (time, resources) and increase recycling e.g. use of paper cups or glasses instead of styrofoam/single use non-degradable materials.

Task - Ensure overall health and safety, hygiene and sanitation standards for all food systems and processes include waste reduction, recycling and disposal : The restaurants in the hotel are key areas where food is handled and disposed. All health and safety standards should be maintained while employees look to reduce food waste, recycling and disposal. e.g. reuse restaurant waste as compost for the hotel gardens

Task - Conduct periodic reviews of local situations to ensure changes to environment are noted, customised and implemented as security and safety initiatives : Local law, events and government can create situations that might change the hotel's impact on the environment, these should be frequently reviewed to ensure all laws are met and that the highest environmental standards are maintained in the hotel.

Task - Source local produce and eco-friendly products where possible. Locally sourced food has a lower carbon footprint and will result in less damage to the environment e.g. seafood from chinese fisheries

Task - Switch to local community-based suppliers where available. This can help benefit the local communities and create a more sustainable eco-structure for the hotel and communities to work and survive in together. e.g. locally grown tea from lesser-known and diverse regions/communities to help build their economy.
