Benefit of training within industry in lean production practices:

  • Better Management: Training in Lean Production helps the organization in getting more work done with limited people. This is possible by managing the right resources and eliminating the waste. The resources viz. human resources’ skill levels will be developed once the system is implemented. The Lean approach follows a bottom-top philosophy, in which the management imposes changes on the work process. Under this system, each individual in the organization works to improve his or her skills/performance.
  • Satisfied Customers: The primary and biggest advantage of Lean is recognising those things that add value to what customers get. Any organization should prioritise in satisfying their customer’s needs in order to sustain. If a company always supplies top quality products/services at right time and right place, then definitely such companies are successful in bagging repeated business from such customers.
  • Elimination/Reduction of Waste: The Lean Approach is centered around improving production speed and quality through decreasing of unnecessary procedures. In The Lean Approach, reduced waste means reduced transport, reduction of moving, less waiting, cutting down unnecessary spaces and reduces all deviations throughout the production.  Automation also plays an important role in a lean manufacturing practice.

  • Financial Benefits: By implementing Lean Principles, on one hand there is reduction of unnecessary expenditure, increase in quality and on the other there will be increased customer loyalty which will boost up sales , thus generate more revenue. Thus increased revenue and reduced expense will increase the overall profits of the organisation.
