Briefly describe 2 ways you can hide a file on your computer without erasing it. The file is still visible but you have made it more difficult to find using a search.

ANSWER -

There are different ways by which you can hide files or folders in the computer. Some of the ways are -

1. The most commonly used method is by using the file explorer
   • Goto the file which you want to hide , right click the item and click on properties. In the general tab, check the hidden option under the attributes and then click apply. In this way you can hide that particular file.
2. Hiding the files through Command prompt
   • Open the command prompt and type the command to navigate to the directory of the file which you want to hide and press enter. Then type attrib +h "File name here" to hide.
3. There is also many third party software which provide ability to hide a file. Some of the applications are HideX, File hider etc.
