Give some examples of mass-spring important in everyday life describe why it would be important to understand the amplitude, period and frequency of these systems. Did this project change the way you think about how trigonometry can be applied to real world? state what ideas changed and why. If this project did not change the way you think, write how this project gave further evidence to support your existing opinion about applying trigonometry. Be specific.

Mass spring system are everywhere in our everyday life. The car which we drive everyday has a mass spring system. The shock absorber system of the car has mass spring system. It is extremely important system in a car to avoid a bumpy ride. The other examples can be bouncing pads or commonly know as trampoline.

If we look closely at a trampoline, we can see that there are a lot of springs arranged along the circumference of the trampoline which are important to serve the purpose of a trampoline.

Here,  amplitude, period and frequency is very important. In a car, we don't want a spring mass system with large amplitude or high frequency because it will give more bumpy ride as we will be jumping up and down. On a bumpy rod, the springs should not oscillate frequently and should come to the original position after bumps are gone. If a spring doesn't come back to original position, there will be permanent deformation is the spring.

In case of bouncing pads, the springs should have amplitude enough that the pad bounces up and down without touching the ground. Here, the trampolines have mass range. Like springs are made by keeping the weight of persons in mind.

Did this project change the way you think about how trigonometry can be applied to real world?

It is difficult and almost impossible to answer this as the project was designed by you so you should know what have you learned
