AutoCAD command prompts are grouped under Tabs according to their command functions. Such groups are labelled as PANELS. Explore into details FIVE panels.

Ribbon panels are nothing but group of similar function commands.

Example:-Draw, Modify, Layer, Annotation, Properties etc.

Lets discuss about these panel's basic functions:-

1) Draw:- This panel consists of primary drawing function commands. These are most commonly used function commands. Those are,

• Line command - to draw line
• Circle command - to draw circle
• Arc command - to draw arc
• Rectangle command - to draw rectangle
• Polygon command - to draw a polygon
• Ellipse command - to draw ellipse
• Polyline command, joint command , break commnad etc...

2) Modify:- This pannel consists of Modification Commands which are used to modify the primary primary drawings into desired shape and size. These are very essential to modify the shape into our convince. Thise are;

• Copy , Move ,Rotate, Mirror, scale, trim, Extend, array, explode, fillet, champer etc.

3) Layer:- This panel is very important to organise the drawing into small individual parts. Like in a building drawing we need to create seperate layer for every componet like doors, windows, walls, Slab, reinforcement etc. This layer panel is all about layers like creating a new layer, goving colour to layer, locking a layer, hiding a layer etc.

4) Annotation:- This panel commands are used to annotate the dimensions of the drawing, like lenght, Angle, radius, diameter, and to add leader to show details/ properties.

5) Properties:- This panel commands are used to view or modify the properties of the line or point. Like Colour of the line, Size of the line, Type of line, Thickness of line etc.
