how did various ideologies- whether religious, national, political or racial influence antisemitic thought and behavior between 1789 and 1945?
In the beginning, it was just ill-treatment of the nation by other nations which was purely ethnic in nature. But this was before Christianity was established.
The ideologies of Christianity played a big role in the start of the Anti-semitic movement. Christianity saw the faith of Jewish as abnormal. They wanted them to change their religion. This was what happened in the middle ages.
Then people started seeing the Jewish individuals as a completely different race from them. They were all abhorred and accused of causing diseases and many other plagues. They were seen as a carrier of the evil that brings danger to the world.
Then came the political ideologies. Antisemitic has its origin related to Adolf Hitler. There are no facts as to why Hitler practiced antisemitic but it was mostly credited to during his stay in Vienna.
Adolf hated Jewish and other nations around the world supported this belief. Adolf Hitler came up with the solution to his hatred and that was the eradication of all Jewish. And this was the Shoah that took place between 1941 and 1945.
Several nations had organizations that took action against the Jewish living in their land. Several ideologies like that stacked up together and antisemitic movement came into existence.
Even now, in this contemporary world, hatred for Jewish has not lessened and persisted for so long. Jewish are still mostly seen as anything but humans.
