You are a new business analyst and have been asked to determine the most viable solution approach to meeting the business need. Describe the three key elements involved in determining solution approach.
While determining a solution approach there are various aspects of the business that needs to be evaluated and understood in order to be successful in the venture of propviding a solution that will be looking forward to meet the business needs and therefore any solution that is provided has to abide by the business need, orgnizational process and required capabilities. As a business analyst, my primary objective will be to maintain such requirement and ensure that the business adheres to such factors. The three key elements involved in determining a solution approach are:
1. Alternative Generation - All the potential options are identified to be implemented in the solution approach and the alternatives planned should differ from one another based on all the options. The alternative generation is nothing but analysis of the solution and determine what can be the different approach towards the same.
2. Assumptions - The assumptions required in the selected solution approach needs to be determined and there will be solutions which are not feasible based on the factors like cost, technical factors, etc. The solutions has to be feasible enough so that they are feasible.
3. Selection of Approaches - All the approaches that are planned needs to be sorted and ranked based on the effectiveness of the factor in the solution and that has to be true and justified or else there is no point of such approach in the business process.
