B. Discuss four different ways that organizations can improve employee engagement.

Solutions

Expert Solution

1. The different theories regarding employee engagement are:-

1. Push-Pull: this theory states that when employees provide enough focus, attention and effort to a certain task which is called the push factor, the results or the satisfaction from their actions allow them to continue with similar dedication in other parts of their work due to its pulling effect.

2. The 25-50-25 theory state that in any organization 25 percent of the employees are highly motivated while 50 percent are fence sitters which can be motivated to perform better or demotivated to stop their efforts and 25 percent are completely withdrawn from the process.

2. Ways to improve employee engagement are:-

1. Job enrichment needs to be provided to the employees which will allow them to see the big picture.

2. Meet Maslow's needs.

3. Minimizing bureaucracy will result in better more streamlined process and essentially employee engagement.

4. Changing the work environment and allowing people to do their job will allow employers to create employees engagement.
