Other than factors like tourism, the multi-cultural nature of the city, and the presence of large corporations, how can you see L.A.'s integration with the larger global economy? Provide some examples of things you see as you move around this vast metropolis. What can you point to that shows our significant global involvement?

Other than the presence of large corporations, tourism in L.A., one important factor that integrates L.A. with the much larger global economy is its innovative capability. It leads by its own export economy by an bottom up approach, where it engages in innovations locally, advocates for it nationally and then gets a global network. L.A also has the most busiest sea ports in the world which caters to the countries on the western hemisphere and is considered to be the sixth busiest ports in the world. Similary, one of the other most important factor that connects L.A. to the world economy is the Hollywood industry which is the major producer of television and film industry. It also is a biotech and aerospace companies hub employing thousands of scientist and technologist from various parts of the world.

As we move around the vast Metropolis of L.A, we come across people from all walks of life with a chill attitude regardless of their profession types. We see people working in varying professions ranging from the entertainment, fashion, various corporations etc. It is a metropolitan city with a huge population that is multi-lingual and multi-cultural.

Large corporations, the new internet hubs and start ups, the holloywood industry, the space technology and the exporting companies in L.A. are the major factors that are responsible for the huge involvement of L.A. in the global economy. Every industry mentioned above is significantly important for the involvement of L.A. in the global economic order.
