Expert Solution

1) Civil Engineering has been an important asset regarding the development of any nation or location since long time. In ancient times the infrastructure were no so modern and astonishing but it doesn't mean that the quality was being compromised. All the ancient structures were build using the aesthetics and it is seen that these structures are still in existence. In the ancient times most of the construction work was being carried out by the artisans and the quantity of the technical expertise was limited at the time. Thus civil engineering works can be realized with the utilization of large number of skilled workers as the time passes.

2) Features of civil engineering has been enhanced by virtue of time. In recent times the trend of the techniques are improving in civil engineering department as the experts are increased and gaining experience from the work done in the past. Recent features are getting better as lifts and elevators are being introduced in the structures with more safety and comfort facilities. Many safety features are installed in recent times that were not being used in the past times and they are proving to be beneficial for the people using it. The recent structures are turning to be more modern and in next context we will discuss about the modernization of civil engineering and it would be a developed version of these recent structures, some are implemented and some are yet to come in use.

3) Civil Engineering has gained a lot of improvement and is highly technified in the modern time. It is kind of improvisation of the recent structures.tgere are some structures that are many years ahead of the present technology and would require high architect and technical knowledge to carry on. There are some of the features that are being improved in the modern times regarding civil structures that are listed below :

  • Virtual reality and Augmented reality
  • Building information modeling(BIM)
  • Sustainability in design is being increased
  • Advanced building materials are being used
  • Things will be more automatic

From all the discussion it is obvious that the technology and betterment is increasing as the time is passing for civil engineering.
