There are four criteria what determines the maximum weight of a train. Explain these 4 as per your own understanding
Power of Locomotive:- As we increase the power of the locomotive it means we have more the number of train boxes that increases the weight of the individual train so for heavy weight train we have require high power locomotive to ease in travel, so we can say that power of locomotive is directly proportional to the weight of the train.
Percentage of inclination:--Percentage of inclination is also the deciding factor of weight of train at higher inclination the rail has to face some additional weight due to various other forces acted due to inclination so weight of the train appears more than that in the normal percentage of inclination.
Speed of the train:- Higher the speed more the liad faced by rails due to additional weight by high speed hence if a train is moving by more speed then the weight of the train become maximum at a certain speed.
Acceleration:- As we know that if we want to accelerate something then some extra work must be done or some extra force must be apply so these extra force and effort is directly proportional to the weight of the train hence more the acceleration more the weight of the train.
