What strategies do college students employ in order to “game” their academic report cards? In light of this gaming, how can prospective employers and graduate schools determine the true academic performance of undergraduates?
The strategies involved for gaming report card include:Taking of simpler electives,having a close relationship with the lecturer to gain good grades and involvement of only lower division courses.The true academic performance of graduates can be determined by giving them brief questions for them to attempt during interview ,the Universities can come up with a strategy of ensuring the grades offered indicate whether one has just passed or failed and checking whether the student did upper division courses or lower division courses.

The students take part only in classes of simpler elective in order to have a good report card .This strategy shows the student's level of laziness which in turn may interfere with their ability to conduct research and development on complex electives .Moreover,the student might have a close relationship with the teacher or lecturer or tuto so that are able to get good grades which at the end would ensure a that a better report card is obtained .The student can also select to do lower division courses in order to get good performance .
The employers should keenly check the both the upper and lower courses of the students results to ensure they have an attitude that is capable of handling both complex and simpler duties .They can also focus on looking at the whole course to see how the student performed therefore not checking the simpler electives only.The Universities can establish a strategy that ensures the grades offered to the students who passed the exams are average .In conclusion ,brief questions ought to be given to graduates during interview to show their know how on various matters regarding the course .
