Eve is a college student and one of your friends, she suffering from some emotional problems. Please answer each of the following scenarios by using key concepts of psychological science to give her advice.

1- Eve likes to vent all of the time about everything that makes her angry. What advice would you give her to control her anger and why based on psychological science?

2- Eve is always comparing herself to students who have better grades and more money than she does, making her feel frustrated. Based on psychological science what advice would you give her and why?

3- Eve always things the worst thing in her life is going to happen and needs strategies to reduce her these feelings. What advice would you give her and why based on psychological science?

4- Eve is usually very stressed out about the possibility of getting infected with Covid19. As a result, you recommend reappraising her stress as her inner-strength will help her survive this pandemic. Explain which emotional theorists would agree with your recommendation?

5-Eve is always complaining about living in Riyadh. However, you try to encourage her by sharing ypur knowledge about the predictors of happiness. How you can best explain these predictors.  

6- While observing Eve's condition, you feel that she is very much prone to stress. In order to help her, you want to make her aware of the process of stress. How you will briefly explain to her this process.

  • Regular exercise is the advice i would like to give her, as it releases endorphins that boosts the feelings of content.And she would be able to control her anger.

2.Eve should maintain a healthy self esteem. She compares herself with others because she has a low self esteem.An advice for this would be practicing gratitude for others and self regularly.She should focus on positive relationships and strengths.

3.Eve's thinking of worst scenario is a cognitive distortion called catastrophizing.May be she's overly stressful and anxious most of the time.She may practice journaling of specific situations whenever she feels so.

4.The process of reappraising her stress as her inner-strength is based on Lazarus theory of appraisal.According to this theory, emotions are determined by the appraisal of stimulus.Here an individual may choose inner strength, will power, reframing the reappraisal aspects for reducing negative emotions.
