It is very important for engineers to apply their signature as well as their official seal while making and submitting the report. It ensures that the report is totally made and checked by the engineer and he is fully agree with it. As the person incharge is unlicensed it will be illegal and unethical for the engineer to not provide his signature. The report may be used for any unwanted purpose and if caught then the engineer may have to bear it's consequences. As a professional engineer it should be seen that all the ethical and legal codes are satisfying his work as if he is working for any one. A code was being made which was applied for all professionals regarding the construction field, as here in this case. In this code different principles are set so that many aspects are not violated and all the work should be ethical. These aspects of the code are fair works, honesty, reliability, accountability and fair rewards to be taken.

Different codes and laws are being formed in the state so that there are no such kind of ethical issues. Below are some of the laws that needs to be followed by the professional engineers while performing their task according to the United State laws :

  • Their skills should be used for the welfare and enhancement of the human society as well as the environment.
  • Honesty should be there while serving to the public or the clients
  • Assurity should be given regarding their work by applying your seal which shows your standard work.
  • Try to work for the licensed people as it would be more safe for the legal codes.

As some of the above codes were not being followed by the engineer, he should be given advise to perform the task by obeying the ethical and legal codes and show his honesty towards the work.
