According to the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition (n.d.), “only one in three children are physically active every day”

Children need exercise for healthy development. But in a world of smart phones, videogames and tablets, getting your kids outside and physically exercise can be a challenge. In fact, only one in three children are physically active every day according to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. With the lack of physical activity combining with high consumption levels of sugar, it makes sense then that childhood obesity rates are spiking.

One of the main reasons why children will stay indoors is because videogames, tablets, television and similar keep them engaged

Simply put, if they have an empty backyard, it’s hard to get excited when it comes time to play outside. This could then lead to the perfect opportunity at purchasing outdoor play equipment that will entertain for hours. One of the better ways to motivate your children is to set a good example yourself. Get them to participate as much as possible! Get them involved in your fitness routine, even if it’s just joining in for a few minutes. Physical activity is one of the most important things that people can do for their health, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Consider and select one of the following digital devices:

  • Smartphones: The time that children spend using digital devices is increasing rapidly with the development of new portable and instantly accessible technology, such as smartphones and digital tablets. From traditional media like television and video games to new media including not only home computers but also mobile devices, such as smartphones and digital tablets, media are an increasingly dominant force in children’s lives.
  • following age groups: children
  • Negative impact: In the current study, we found that using mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, was associated with a higher likelihood of behavior problems (i.e., conduct problems and hyperactivity/inattention difficulties).
  • With easy access through a smartphone to a majority of their play, childrens now have a platform to be bombarded with various exciting games. These games limit their creativity and imaginations and slow their motor and optical sensory development.
  • According to researchers, a smartphone is detrimental to a child’s social-economic development as it diverts a child’s attention.
  • Use of smartphones can lead children to engage in inappropriate behaviors.
  • children are growing up in a radio-frequency environment that never existed in human history before. The radiation emitted by smart phones can have adverse effects on children.
  • Positive impact:
  • childrens nowadays can easily interact and connect with their family, friends and teachers instantly.
  • childrens nowadays can easily look up any information they need for any subject on their mobile phones.
  • The many positive effects of technology on children include the wide variety of useful features in their hands. Mobile phones give them an option to install useful apps that can assist in their studies, gather relevant information, and much more.
  • childrens develop an aptitude for technology, which is an important skill now and more so in the future. Technology will be a part of his school learning. It is reasonable for your child to explore this world at an early age.
