Project is a temporary undertaking conducted to produce a specific product,service or result.

It has a start and end.

A project comes to an end when the goal is achieved,or creator wants to terminate the project or need for the project no longer exists.

A project ranges from simple to complex, and can be splitted into individual tasks to reach the project goal easily.

Example of projects are building house,developing new software etc.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

It is where the expertise,knowledge,skills,tools,strategies to project requirement are applied.

The cardinal challenge of project management is to achieve all the goals of the project within a limited sets and to optimize the distribution of the requisite inputs.
