The challanges in construction industry are -

1) Moisture problem - Woods are tend to absorb moisture from the environment, if moisture content gets increased more than 20-22%. So, This kind of problem needs to be tackled carefully by using preservation , and this becomes a challenge to prevent the timber from gaining moisture.

2) Material protection at job site -

The Failure to protect the wood materials at the job site could cause timber and other wooden products to become wet in the presence of rain so that they degrade, warp severely, or they could also swell making the timber undesirable to use .

3) prevention of timber from insects -

The timber with time could get into the exposure of microorganisms that could degrade the timber and the strength gets decreased. So, it becomes very important to prevent from this condition .

4) Prevention of defects while seasoning -

The timber are always prone to the defects while going through the procedure of seasoning . So, the seasoning of timber needs to be done very carefully.
