INTRODUCTION: Reading is an important aspect of learning which is applicable in workplace, in school and in future job access, task and everyday life. How well children learn to read and understand sets the goal of future success. The goal of reading is many but it primarily include children fluency and confidence that they understand the meaning of reading and use it as a source of both knowledge and enjoyment. The task is making reading compatible is all set by the guided teacher in school or any other institutions. Effective phonics and word recognition instruction build calmly on children understanding and use of the both speaking and written language. The teacher can try different type of strategy to accommodate student needs some try and possible effort are discussed below:

  1. BEFORE THE LESSON: Provide basic materials like provide lecture outline, handover study guidelines and worksheet, script of a film and pre teach hard vocabulary and concepts to some extent introduction of the task.
  2. DURING THE LESSON: make them to take notes and highlight with colour pencils, make the student close his eyes and try to visualize the information, provide compact explanation, provide written as well as oral direction to students, when giving direction try to stop between each step so that the student can carry out the process and think for a minute amount of time in his mind, cut the listening time as short as possible, provide written and manipulative work, be concise, gentle and generous with verbal information.
  3. IF THE STUDENT IS FACING DIFFICULTY IN SHARING ORALLY: accept alternate form of sharing like demonstration, tap records , charts or maps, photo essay or written lines, give the rules and regulation for class discussion, make the student learn how to ask a question or specially teach of the body and language expression, wait for the student to respond.
  4. IF THE STUDENT IS FACING DIFFICULTY IN READING MATERIAL: shorten the amount of required reading, provide underline notes, allow a peer to read it loud in front of him, motivate the student cheer or provide him the confidence, lesser the amount of ideas, help the student visualize what he has read so that his artificial image in mind provide him with a better look.
  5. IF THE STUDENT HAS DIFFICULTY EXPRESSING HIMSELF IN WRITTING: accept alternate forms like oral reports, Photographic essay, Panel discussion, Mock debate, allow excess time, shorten the assignments.
  6. IF THE STUDENT HAS DIFFICULTY SPELLING: dictate the word and then ask the student to write it, understand the meaning of the word in a simple language which will be easier for him to grab early, avoid penalizing for mistakes or error made, Hang words from the ceiling during memorizing or hang them on the board or wall as constant visual cues.

These are all the aspects a teacher can try and rectify student standard related to phonic and word recognition.
