Appropriations basically keep main focus on specific targets. Particular amount of money is being kept reserved for full filling special purposes. Limit of money is being decided by a high level committee. Various discussions are carried out before the process of Appropriation.
Special focus remains on the fact that other tasks should not be hampered just for the sake of one particular task. Allocation basically describes the amount of money designated for each and every task. It also emphasizes on the fact that under no circumstances limit of budget allocation should be exceeded.
It basically sets a boundary line for various expenditures. Both allocation and appropriations mark the boundary line under which various financial activities need to be carried out. This maintains the proper management in terms of expenditures. It also inspires to deliver level best performances with proper planning and management of resources.
