in 2/3 paragraphs please explain if automation is better suited for capitalism or socialism economic system?
In the conventional sense, technology would inevitably make the notion of a proletariat obsolete. Society will become ever more plentiful along with other technological advancements, but this abundance will be rendered artificially scarce by profit-making enterprises. As capitalist capitalism drives competitiveness, enterprise's competitive nature will lead them to adopt ever more automated, effective, and inexpensive production techniques.
As robots become more effective, cheaper and more common through advances, we may inevitably see the working class as a whole being displaced and transforming into the precarious class altogether. Technology will assist us in building the post-abundant society we need to transition to socialism. If humans allow manufacturing to be taken out of the hands of the few who take advantage of it and into people's hands, factories will master technology and use it as a resource for producing for needs, not benefit.
Capitalism is declining gradually, taking on a more niche position for certain parts of society. A much greater distribution of social capital would be universal basic income, or a credit-based scheme. Automation will build the new abundant socialist world if we allow it to. Only by deciding the people can we capture the means of production and rise into the capitalist class, allowing technology to serve the most essential functions of society.
E rely increasingly on technology to make our lives simpler to the point that we might potentially make our society entirely dependent on technology to survive. Human beings will perform specific or corporate roles in society, and will also be able to follow their own interests. The fundamental values of this will guide society in the next century could be the universal right of all people to have a home, food, energy, education and health care; without being required to pay for it or worrying about financial hardship being a threat to these rights.
