Enhancing your creativity:

While most companies value creative people, many people do not feel creative or have not used their creative talents in a long time. This project will help you focus on creativity and bring it into your everyday life. There are two parts to the project. 1) Discuss why creativity is an important part of decision-making. 2) Research two sources that describe how to become more creative. After reading these sources, describe five things you could do to enhance your creativity. Cite the two sources.

Without creativity, everything looks monotonous and the people will get used to the same routine. The people will stop thinking out of the box and when the company wants to make an important business decision, they will not be able to come up with something innovative. Having a creative mind will allow a person to think from different perspectives and they will be able to judge the advantages and disadvantages of each option better. They can act as a single source of information to the team and help others also realize the opportunities they have. Creativity keeps the mind of a person open to new ideas and thoughts. They will have the ability to visualize the impacts of a decision in the future and also how they can reach a specific goal. So these people can make better business decisions keep all the possible parameters in mind and they end up adding value to the business.

The five ways to enhance the creativity are:

1. Asking the right questions to the right audience. The people should know when to gather the information and from whom. This will allow them to know how the answer given can solve the question they have in mind. They end up collecting quality data.

2. Become an expert in a specific field and keep thinking about ways to improve and make it easy to access the information to others. Gaining the expertise will make a person aware of the future and what should be done to avoid the failures and keep winning.

3. Keep an open mind and always be ready to listen to others when they speak. Having I don't know anything approach will help in acquiring more knowledge than saying I know everything. Listen to new ideas and think how they can be applied to the problems we are facing currently.

4. Select a topic and a problem and keep thinking about the ideas that can solve the problem quickly. This can help the person in becoming more creative as he is trying to find different solutions to a problem.

5. Listen to all the ideas but develop a mind that can selecting only the best ones. Not all ideas are innovations and add value to the business. So choose wisely and adapt carefully.
