What options are available for altering the capacity of (a) an elementary school, (b) a prison, and (c) an airline, or (d) some other organization with which you are familiar?
(a) Capacity of an elementary school can be increased by taking necessry approvals from the education authorities, constructing or renovating the existing facility or buying / renting new premises and preparing it as an elementary school by making suitble changes. The capacity of resources can be increased by hiring of human resources and buying / installing other amenities.
(b) Capacity of a prison can be increased by construction in existing facility or selecting another suitable place for a new prison and building it from scratch.
(c) Capacity of an airline can be increased by seeking approvals from Civil aviation authorities, chalking out business plans for expansion, determining the need of new equipments, buying or leasing new planes according to the requirement and augmenting human and other resources in line with the expansion plan.
(d) Capacity of a manufacturing plant can be increased by installing the new machines in the existing facility or constructing a new plant in the same premises if land is available or at some other suitable place. Alternatively, the contract manufacturing option can be considered, where some other factory can be used to manufacture the goods according to the specifications provided by you at a price.
